Tock is retiring this summer. Choose your migration path.
American Express confirmed on Feb 24, 2026 that Tock will be absorbed into Resy β you can accept that default or migrate to TableShift and keep what made Tock worth using.
Tock sunsets summer 2026 β decide before Amex decides for you
Tock is being retired β your two paths forward
On February 24, 2026, American Express officially announced that Tock will be merged into Resy by summer 2026. The Tock consumer app and exploretock.com will be sunset. If you operate on Tock today, your account will be migrated to Resy's platform β unless you act first.
Defaulting to Resy means more than a rebrand. Resy treats deposits as optional, not the default β a fundamental shift from Tock's prepaid-first philosophy. Resy's focus is high-volume casual dining, not the fine-dining, winery, and ticketed-event segments that Tock was built for. And because Resy is owned by the same American Express entity, your guest data, booking flow, and pricing levers are now controlled by a financial services company with its own network incentives.
TableShift is built as the migration path for venues that want to keep what made Tock valuable β deposits as the default, full events and takeout management, no per-cover fees β while adding what Tock never had: an AI copilot that writes your morning briefing, surfaces no-show risk before service, and responds to reviews. You own your guest data. No Amex, no DoorDash, no hidden network strings.
